Environmental Management System

In July 2001 all of AEON's businesses together acquired international environmental preservation standard ISO14001certification.
Beginning with AEON's charity cards and Tokimeki Point donations that promote forest protection, AEON has been proactive in its approach to saving the environment, engaging in activities ranging from using recycled fiber polyester uniforms and issuing dioxin-free, non-pollutant PETG (a non-vinyl material) credit cards to using environment-friendly glassine paper window envelopes for mailing customer statements.
Obtaining ISO14001 certification has allowed us to further fortify our framework for promoting environmental preservation, contributing to our aim of remaining an environmentally conscious company as we strive to enhance the environment around us.

Environmental Policy

Based on a management philosophy that supports customers' lifestyles by placing value on both their futures and their trust, Aeon Credit Service aims to provide valuable products and services through its credit card business and comprehensive financial services. At the same time, we recognize that a major aspect of our duties as a corporate citizen is environmental preservation. We are aware of the impact that our business activities have on the environment, and we are involved proactively and continuously in contributing to environmental preservation.

  1. Beginning with the use of environment-friendly materials in our cards, we have worked hard to ensure that our products have minimal environmental impact and that we protect the environment and prevent pollution.
  2. Our involvement in conserving resources and energy heightens our awareness of environmental issues and contributes to our efforts to use resources efficiently.
  3. We comply strictly with all laws and regulations regarding the environment while maintaining high standards that we have agreed to abide by.
  4. On our own initiative, we have established our own environmental goals and targets as well as a promotional system for realizing these objectives. We use regular reviews to continually advance and improve our environmental efforts.
  5. All company employees are made aware of our environmental policy through educational programs.
  6. Together with the broad dissemination of our environmental policy, our efforts include the proactive disclosure of information as well as support for environmental protection activities, reforestation and other social programs.
